Personal Details To Be Sent To An Immigration Company Using G-Mail?

Q) I have had an e mail from this immigration company after I requested some advice off them. I was telling this company about my personal details DOB, marital status etc and after I made out this details I asked a friend to check through them. When I told that person it was a g-mail addy he told me to watch what I put with it being a g mail addy as they use these details for their own benefit and sell the details to other companies. What do people think?

A) The US immigration service has a warning about scam companies on the Home Page of its web page. I'd just go directly to the government. The private company is getting something out of this somewhere, and why pay it?

A) A good psychic would see you out, not the other way around. Please do not waste your time anf emotions on a psychic. They are con artists, they manipulate conversations with you to get information without you really realizing, and they tell you what you want to hear for money. Be smarter than that. If you want to know something, do some research, otherwise, maybe you'll just have to wait and find out what happens. If the psychic tells you that you're going to marry a red haired person that you are going to meet in the next year, and that doesn't (and probably won't) happen, they have totally made up some lie to get you to pay them; are you going to go back and do anything to them for their "prediction" being wrong? They are for entertainment purposes only. So, in answer you your question, yes a good con would be able to make up answers to all your questions. Giving Your Bank Card Details?

Q) I gave a cheque the other day, backed up by my bank card and the desk clerk gleefully exclaimed: `Oh, great. I`ve got your bank card details just in case.....` When I queried this at my bank, I was told that this is quite ordinary and even though I paid a deposit by cheque and did not secure the room divulging my bank card details, by using the card to confirm the cheque they had got them anyway and could, in some eventuality, use them to withdraw funds. Now....it seems to me something is wrong somewhere. Firstly, why should your details be visible on your bank card? Shouldn`t check guarantee cards shield personal data? Secondly, if you want to use the card as a guarantee shouldn`t the other side need more from you than your bank card number? When I complained about this at the bank I was told that THEY (the corporations) rarely make mistakes; and if they do, the mistakes can be rectified. The point is....the banks should not be colluding in those mistakes.

A) In the U.S. they are not allowed to even ask for credit/debit card and they can not copy the number down when presenting a check. I would refuse to give them my credit/debit card info.

A) The man I think you need is Johan Ludwig Schneider (1809-1870) who came from Denmark. Link 1 is to one his recently sold paintings. There is, however, a Swiss artist called Johann Jakob Schneider (1822-1889), but I would not think he would be likely to paint lilies (bit I may be wrong). If you want to register on the Artnet site, you will be able to find out how much their paintings were sold for.

Photo details lost?

Q) The low light areas of my photo turned almost black when developed. On my monitor however, I can see these details. This fact prooves to me that the details do exist. Please look at my photo at http://fstop2image.com/naturesway.html and tell me how to get the details I see on my monitor (upper left part of photo) to print. When I took this photo, I kept the low light areas in mind. I thought that this detail was important to the photo. I have Photo Shop Elements as my editing software.

A) That's a nice photo! One challenge we all face is that a monitor will generally display a wider range of tonal values than will a print. Ansel Adam's book "the print" is largely about this issue in the old-school analog film/development/enlargement era. There are a couple ways to deal with this. First, you'll need to make sure that your monitor is calibrated, so that what you see is an accurate representation of the values in the image file. Then, you'll have to carefully set up your printer driver so that what you print reflects what you see on the screen. But even so, it is not easy to capture detail in dark areas. What you might do is an adjustment to the image with curves, or another tool that allows you to change some of the values without changing all of them. You don't want to lose any more detail in the highlights, for instance, but you'll want to bring up the low tones just a bit so that you can see some detail. Nice photo, by the way.
