CD burned on PC doesn't work in audio CD player?

Q) I used Nero to burn tracks from my mp3 player onto an audio cd, but it doesn't play in my CD player, only on my PC. Why and what can I do about it? Thanks!

A) As far as I remember Nero has a serparate option to burn music CDs - did you use that option? Have you tried playing the CD in a different CD player - also try it in a different PC (just to try to narrow down the problems!) Have to say though - I always use Windows Media Player to burn my CDs - always works. It takes music in any format and converts it into a data type that is recognised by music players which don't generally have the ability to recognise computer file types such as MP3

A) on video recorders an E5 error means that the tape is faulty. so i am guessing it might be a disc problem

A) Get one with skip protection so that your disc won't skip and you won't miss part of your book. Also, make sure your audio book is separated by "tracks" so you can go from chapter to chapter more easily. You should probably just get an iPod nano for her. A 2 GB one costs $99 dollars on some websites and it would be easier for her to find her place and she wouldn't have to buy batteries continuously. Good luck!

Can you reduce the audio signal from a cd player to an amplifier with an in line connector?

Q) When I play a disc on my cd player at low volumes the output is either too high or nothing. I thought that if I could put an attenuator connector in line to reduce the input signal this might give me better control. I know you can do this with tv signals and rf cable but is it possible with audio cable and phono connections?

A) Put a pre-amp between the CD player and the amp.

i bought an in car CD Player but its not reading some of my audio Cd's.It reads most of the original Cd's but

A) Car CD players are not good at reading home burnt CDs. I have seen suggestions to try burning the CD at the slowest possible speed. It's to do with the arrangement of the Laser in the player. Generally unless the player is badged as CD-R-RW compatible don't expect it to work.

can i use a dvd player with an audio amp to hear cd's?

A) Go to the Burn button, then Edit Playlist, when that window pops up, add your songs to the right hand column, when your finished close the window and click Start Burn.

A) i'm pretty sure you can get certain model cd players that will save the steering wheel controls. just gotta research around for the right one.

how can I convert a mp3's to an audio cd player with the same number of songs?

Q) How can I convert a mp3 using a 700 mb cd-r, that has about 100 songs stored on it, to play in a regular audio cd player that is not mp3 ready. A) Unfortunately no, u will not be able to fit 100 songs in an audio cdr since when u burn the cd as mp3 format,u are saving the files as a data cd which will let u add song after song, etc... as for audio u are saving the music u have to notice the ammount of bytes the song is and see how much the ammount of bytes the cd has so if u have a cdr that's lets say 80mins long would be 700mbs so as soon as u start adding tracks the bytes start to be taken by each track meaning u'd be able to have 18 to 12 tracks depending on the type of music u have or the length of the tracks.

A) impossible, unless you know the mechanics of how to wire in a video/audio reading laser, which would mean, saudering it intot he board and placing it in the mechnism controling the reading, so your better off buying a dvd player, for 50 dollars.

A) Kenwood, Alpine,Clarion,Pioneer, those are some good brans, but when looking for a head unit check its power specifications and features to make a descision.

I need a Wav. file to play in a stand alone Audio CD player?

Q) I am trying to get my cheerleading squads routien music to burn to a cd and then play on a basic CD player (not MP3,ect. compatible) i believe it must be in wav. format and i have used mutiple programs to attempt to get it to work.....it just won't....i am using to different CD players to see if it is a problem w/ the player and they both repetitivly say that no tracks can be read....aka they display 00 as tracks.....i am using: Memorex High Speed CD-RW disks....could that be the problem? please help competition is two weeks from today and the music MUST be on CD!!!!

A) Check the CD player if they are compatiable with CD-RW; some CD players can't play CD-RW. I suggest you to use CD-R not CD-RW. P.S most of the music files like wave, mp3,AAC,mp4 etc can be created as a normal audio CD that can play on most of the player.

A) well thats really strange tell me something wats the actual format that you have them saved in is it MP3 or WMA. Well when you open Nero select CD goto audio section & select create audio CD. than add those files & it'll automatically convert them & make an audio CD. Now the question wats your cd player is it the one that just plays audio cds or is it MP3 ready..?? IF yes than try making an MP3 disc using nero itself.

Bose audio + aftermarket cd player = good idea??

Q) I have a '96 nissan maxima w/ built-in Bose audio system and cassette/radio/cd player built by Clarion Corp (in CA). Recently my cd player broke; radio and cassette work fine. I wanted to get an after market cd player but I was told that it would degrade the sound quality of my Bose audio system. If I went the other direction and went to the dealer... they'd have to take it out, send it to Clarion to repair it, then ship it back to the dealer to install. That's got to take at least a week and cost quite a bit. I dont want to get a after market player and have it mess up my Bose system. Does anyone have any advice on which way is the better way to go?

A) The Bose is a speaker system, and is matched specifically with that clarion head unit and probably has an amplifier somewhere in you car(prob under the passenger seat). Here is the catch: if you get a new head unit, you need to find out if the wiring harness for that particular vehicle includes outputs for the bose amp, or if it just goes to the regular speakers. Alot of times, youwont be able to get the harness after market that you need. Thats where they get you. If lyou go with a new head unit, you may need to get a new amp to run those speakers, which will mess up you sound staging and quality, which in turn will lead you to buying new speakers, and spending a ton of money in the process. I say your best bet is to send it away, but be aware, it will probably be gone alot longer than you anticipate(months maybe). Crappy situation to be in, good luck! Ah, the joys of owning an 11 year old car!! I know the feeling all too well!

How do I stop Yahoo Music Jukebox from being the default audio cd player?

Q) I like using winamp which is set to play cd's but when I insert a cd Yahoo Music Jukebox opens instead. Both boxes are unchecked in the cd section or preferences Winamp works fine in my dvd drive but in my dvd burner it wants to start Yahoo I already had done what Rich Z suggested but the DVD RW drive was not effected

A) You can change the preference on the CONTROL PANEL. Click on START. Click on CONTROL PANEL. Click on FOLDER OPTIONS. Click on FILE TYPES. Click on the CD files. Click on OPEN WITH. Then choose the program you want them to open with. Clock OK and it is done.

Will a DVD audio player in a car also play MP3 files on a CD?

Q) I'm considering buying a car with a CD player that plays DVD audio but I don't know if that implies MP3 files on CD as well. Anybody know the answer to this question? The car in question is the Acura TL.
