Wedding Disposable Camera Questions and AnswersIdeas needed for wedding photos, giving disposable cameras to children?Q) We're getting married next week and we've put cheap disposable cameras into the childrens activity packs with a list of photos to get.
So far we've got; a picture of the best dancer, the biggest hat, parents dancing, the highest heels, groom without a drink, bride dancing, bride/groom eating wedding cake etc.
Anyone have any other suggestions for photos a child could take?
We know we'll get more pictures of the floor and ceiling than of people, but the idea is more to give the children a 'mission' to keep them occupied. So the more challenging the better.
A) A relative you never knew you had.
A group of people laughing/smiling.
Someone holding flowers
Another child dancing.
A couple holding hands.
A couple kissing.
yourself (as in the child/a photo of themselves).
I think what you are doing is a really good idea, wish i had thought of it for my wedding, hope it all goes well.Anyone Know where I can get some good quality Disposable cameras for my wedding?A) ebay i saw 35 disposable cameras for 99p no reserve worth lookingDisposable cameras at wed dding?Q) Would you put them out for the day or evening reception?More people will at the evening do not sure whats best.
In the U.K. we usually have an early wedding then a reception with family and close friends. Those you cant afford to have in the day for the full meal are invited for the evening dancing and light buffet this is the norm in this country.
A) yes put the out befor the reception in the evening time. that way you wont have to worry about it later. good luck
Where is the cheapest place to get disposable wedding camera 110 film developed? gk?A) wally world. (walmart for you northerners)Has anyone used a Konika Minolta Black and White disposable camera for a wedding or other special events?Q) I thought it would be great artistic alternative to using regular color disposable, but I was wondering about the quality of the pictures.
A) Actually, Konica's B&W C-41 film is not bad. And Konica disposable cameras are as good as anyones. Just check the expiration date on it, Konica is out of business, but there is still some film around that is within date. I don't know how artistic the images will be, though. Usually pictures made by wedding guests with cardboard cameras are less than thrilling, but who knows? You may get lucky!
Don't be surprised if your B&W prints look either red or cyan. If they are terribly off in color, ask your photofinisher to reprint them.Disposable Camera...for wedding?Q) I am looking for disposable cameras with a beach or luau theme to put on my tables at my wedding so my guests can take pictures. Any suggestions where I can find those cheap?!
Thanks in advance!!
Thanks for the warning!! I will keep that in mind!!
ok...with all of the honest answers I have received, I have decided to scratch the idea!!! I will just have all my friends take pics with their cameras and make a cd or something!!
Thanks for the honest answers, they are greatly appreciated :)
A) Don't waste your money on those. Disposable cameras use recycled film and the quality of the pictures are less than desirable. A decent disposable would cost around 7 dollars a piece and then you have to pay for prints.
Disposable cameras for weddings were popular a years ago but with the digital boom, no one hardly ever uses film anymore. Have yoru guests email you the pics and pick the ones that you really like, instead of printing useless, low quality pictures.
Good luckDo you think buying a disposable camera for each table at my wedding is a cheep idea?Q) A photographer costs alot the wedding/ reception is already starting to add up so I figured I would have each table have a camera and turn them in at the end then I could fill up the album what do yall think?
A) this is a situation that you must be very carful in. sometimes you have kids take random pictures of forks and boogers. rarely do you get a great shot. Unless.... you could do this but print out a list for each table. the list would include shots that you'd like (bride and groom kissing, mother/son dance, flowergirl dancing, etc.). it would be like a scavenger hunt - they would have to take pictues of those things and whatever table gets the most- recieves a special gift.
just think of all the shots that you'd like your photographer to get and put it on the list so that guests can do it. but remember they're not professionals so don't expect amazing pictues although you will probably get some very endearing ones.
another thing you can do is have a couple close family members take the pictures- maybe pay for a lesson or if yoiu have family that is great at photos - ask them. say that you could pay for the cost of development.Where or what sites can I find really cheap disposable wedding cameras?A) walmart would be the place to goWedding disposable cameras?Q) Did you use disposable cameras for your wedding? If so, did you get one for every table or just get a few and put them somewhere. We don't really want to get one for every table but we would like to get some. Any suggestions on where we could put them? Should we have the dj annouce them?
A) My cuz did that. She got one for each table. Yes have the DJ announce them out so your guest can know they can help you for your big day. Good Luck.Anyone know where I can find a template for a Kodak PowerFlash disposable camera?Q) I have purchased these for a wedding and I would like to customize them. I could not find any wedding cameras that went with their wedding theme.
A) I'm reasonably sure that Kiodak offers (or at least used to offer) that service through their website. That's the first place I'd check - but I'll bet it's expensive!
Other than that, you may want to take one of the cameras and carefully remove the cardboard cover, lay it our and create you own template. Contact paper would probably make a great material for your custom covers. Alternately, consider using clear lamination film with "custom" inlays (confetti, word cut-outs, etc...) for a more "custom", decoupage look! Good luck.Do you think it is a good idea to have disposable camera's at a wedding reception???A) Yes and no.
While they can be a wonderful way to capture moments and guests the photographer may miss... nowadays so many people have digital cameras and phone cameras with the option to load pictures to the internet for everyone to enjoy, disposables seem almost outdated. Not to mention the money wasted on developing useless shots.
I you want candid pics at the reception perhaps enlist a few family members or friends with digitals to snap some shots for you. Or rent one of those photo booths which seem to be so popular now.Should I or should I not take pictures of my balls with the disposable camera at my aunt's wedding?A) It depends---How photogenic are your balls? Do they like having their picture taken? If so, I'm sure they would love to say hello to the new couple.how much does it cost to develop a disposable camera and put the images on a cd?Q) i have 9 disposable cameras from my wedding and i want to get them all developed and put the photos on a cd
A) i am not sure about a disposable camera, i know you can take your digital camera into walmart and have a disc made for less than $5....i would think that a disposable camera is comparable....best thing to do is call your local walgreens or cvs store and get an estimate.
